Wolf Pack Wednesday: Virtual Orientation

Subject line: Get Ready for Online Orientation
Sent: November 3, 2021
Can’t wait for your first day of college? You’ll be happy to know that you can start preparing for life at Loyola long before your first day of classes!
Online Orientation
We want to make sure you arrive ready for success. It’s very important for you to complete your mandatory online orientation, which consists of a number of video modules that cover everything from academic resources to student life and dining. It should take no more than three hours to finish, and we’ll save your progress along the way so you can take a break at any time.
All new incoming students are required to complete online orientation before January 3, 2021. Use your username and password from your Single Sign On (SSO) portal to access the online orientation website. Here’s a refresher on your login credentials in case you forgot, and if you have problems with your username or password, reach out to our Help Desk at support@loyno.edu.
Online Orientation Topics
- Safety and security in the Big Easy
- Student living and dining services
- Student health and counseling
- Loyola technology
- Introduction to academic life
- Introduction to your college
- Student life and ministry
Optional Parent/Caregiver Orientation
Your parents and caregivers are also encouraged to explore the online modules using the parent/guest access on the orientation website. They’ll find a wealth of information about campus activities, academics, and support services for students.
Krewe Chats
Did you know: You have a Krewe Leader who is a current student at Loyola dedicated to preparing you for life at Loyola! Towards the end of next month, your Krewe Leader will communicate with you weekly and host Krewe Chats over Zoom to get to know you. This small-group format will give you a chance to connect with your peers and answer all your questions.
New Student Resource Guide
In addition to our online orientation, we recommend that you download our 2021-2022 New Student Resource Guide for specifics on all things Loyno. From where to find a particular office on campus to academic support services, you’ll find it all in the guide.
Advising Support
Class registration will begin next week! It’s very important that you complete your Academic Advising and Involvement Interest Survey in your Admissions Status Portal so that your advisor can create your draft schedule. The last day to submit your survey is Friday, December 3. Once you complete your survey, it usually takes your advisor about two weeks to create and reach out with your draft schedule for further discussion.
If you have any questions about the survey or advising process, please email the following according to your college:
