Find Your Fit

Enhance Your Commute
Our commuter students have many ways to stay active on campus! Spaces and places like Satchmo’s and The Hub/SGA provide a space for recreation, student performances, gaming, and just taking a break. Commuter Assistants act as guides for commuter students to navigate campus life successfully, while the Commuter Student Association coordinates events like a weekly trivia night.
Find Your Spiritual Center
Christian Life Communities are our Ignatian-based life and faith sharing groups that meet weekly and help students find God in all things (in whatever way they understand God to be). In addition to general CLCs, you can also join special interest CLC groups, like student athletes, Spanish speakers, LGBTQ+, and a secular spiritual exploration group. Most students say CLCs become like a family on campus, and are a place to recharge and reflect during the busy week. Learn more at the CLC Meet & Greet, September 8, at 7 p.m. in the Freret Room. The deadline to register to join a CLC is September 9!
The Mass of the Holy Spirit, the spiritual beginning of the new academic year, will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8 at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church. All 11 a.m. classes are canceled so that the entire university can attend. All are encouraged to come together to give thanks and to pray for the coming year.
First Year Retreat is a chance to make meaningful connections with other first year students and reflect on how our Jesuit values relate to you as you begin life at Loyola. Based in Ignatian spirituality, this retreat is open to students from all faith and non-faith backgrounds. The retreat will be September 17 at Camp Abbey in Covington, LA. Register by September 8! The fee is $20 and includes all meals and transportation.
