Get Fit, Go Play, Stay Involved

The Department of Student Life and Ministry offers numerous campus recreation programs that give you the opportunity to play, compete, live an active lifestyle, and encourage personal wellness. There are a wide range of sports and fitness programs—competitive and non-competitive, organized and informal, virtual and in-person. Find what moves you! 

University Sports Complex 

The University Sports Complex (USC) is open and ready to help you stay fit this semester. Just keep in mind our new health protocols: wear your mask at all times and sanitize equipment before and after use. In keeping with requirements from the City of New Orleans, you must show proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test dated within 72 hours. 

Group fitness classes are another great way to get more active and build community! During our renovation, all classes are virtual so you can join from anywhere (check out the Facebook page for more info). Classes will be offered through the semester.

If you want help achieving a specific fitness goal, personal training can jumpstart your workout routine. The USC offers small-group personal training sessions, and you can start by scheduling an assessment to find out if personal training is a good fit for you. 

While the weight rooms, exercise rooms, and locker rooms are open for normal hours, the basketball courts and pool will be closed for the remainder of the semester due to damage from Hurricane Ida.
